This indicator shows the percentage of live births in which the mother received adequate prenatal care. Prenatal care is determined as adequate based on an index which classifies care as intensive, adequate, intermediate, inadequate, or no care by comparing the number of actual prenatal care visits that a woman was expected to receive, given the onset of prenatal care and the length of gestation.
